Body sculpting for the busy person
More Details
The information here separates Fact from Fiction. You’ve heard me say most of what has been promoted in the area of nutrition over the last 50 years has not been truthful, it has been done to promote foods and diets that generate profits for the manufacturers.
The same holds true in The World of Fitness.
Drawing on more than 40 years of training myself and others, I separate The Facts from the Fiction, “REAL FACTS FOR REAL RESULTS “.
Muscles “expand on-demand” and body sculpting weight training must be done at the correct intensity level to send growth signals to the muscles.
The duration and frequency of the workouts are critical.
Groupings of muscles trained along with the proper resistance, number of sets and repetitions greatly influence the shaping of the body.
The unfortunate truth is, you have been lied to for years. You have been lied to on how long do you need to train. Most exercise training programs are way too long which cuts into your recovery time needed for progress to occur.
How long should you train, how many days per week, how much resistance you should be using and how many repetitions are all spelled out for you.
Busy people have lives, their job, career and kids.
And I’m happy to say that busy men and women 30 years of age and up welcome coaching advice from an older guy that’s in shape
Through proper nutrition and training, you can slow the aging process. And when your nutrition and training are correctly dialed in you can and should expect to see improvements weekly.
You’ve heard me say, in nature and biology cells are either growing or decaying. We of course are very much a part of nature and biology.
In our Body Shaping Program
You absolutely can and should expect to look, feel and move 10 years younger after your first three months following this straightforward no-nonsense training program.
A muscle grows and gets stronger and firmer on the day you don’t exercise. You read that correctly.
For years I have used the analogy that the day you are training in the gym consider yourself the architect designing and sculpting the structure.
And on your rest day, the day you are not in the gym, think of yourself as the building contractor that comes to the job site with the bricks and cement to build the structure. This is how you build the body, it is the same for both men and women. You do not build your body on the day you’re exercising!
Strength training must be adjusted over the years. What works for you in your 20s and 30s will not work the same in your 40’s,50’s,60’s and beyond.
I am not suggesting you reduce the intensity as you age because is the intensity that is needed to send the necessary growth signals for the muscles to continually develop and progress.
I am speaking to you firsthand. At 65, I have learned how to tweak or adjust my training to optimize my energy and progress, which is what it’s all about. You want to have vitality, energy, strength and muscle firmness throughout your magnificent life.
My favorite mantra, “ You must challenge yourself to change yourself “ will always be front and center of your training.
This applies at any age. Where most people get it wrong is in the area of recovery and the duration of each workout.
Remember muscles ONLY develop on the day they are not exercised, however, this does not suggest in any way that we reduce the intensity during training. Proper Intensity on training days is critical. This must happen to send the necessary signals for muscle development. If the intensity is not correct, the time in the gym just becomes a waste of time. Just look at the 100’s of individuals that train for years and never really change their appearance.
